I still recall the flickr party i went to last month. Armed with a blackberry and free all i can eat plan, i had been taking pictures and uploading to a flickr account id set up just for that event.

Everybody else were planning to do it the good old fashion way it seemed cos they seemed to blink at my teeny camphone which their huge and largely prosumer SLRs overshadowed.

Come on people, havent you heard of mobile uploads before. I guess they are the serious enthusiast sorts who take time to craft their compositions instead of capturing images on the fly…?

So what does this mean for the laptop users i see here at starbucks? One of them scouts for the power outlet next to me as i type this out now on my berry.

….went for an Oktoberfest event earlier today….first time i had so much german food… surprisingly good. May have had a pint of german beer, wont know… im not a beer connosieuer…. but anyway had a good nite out tonite… good to be able to blog again, have been away for ages due to ….work….work ….. and work.

Several things,..events actually popped up…which im glad happened cos now i have a further back perspective on things. Have been writing notes on FaceBook too… could not just let it stay inside me..had to let it have an outlet…which is why im thankful for Notes …hopefully it reaches to the people who matter and can do something about it.

Cos if it does… it just might make a difference to the way things are in our country right now. And from recent happenings…it just could happen……keeping fingers crossed……it would be nice to be able to make something WORK instead of just blogging /writing/talking about it.

On the other hand… I will be away frm this blog… to continue what Im doing on FB. Its what I want to do,,, its not easy.. theres a lot… a whole lot more to be done.

But im convinced its one of the courses of action to take things forward,,,,and for that, may not have so much time on here.

Arrived in KL from Singapore to behold a nightmare… a bunch load of people, and taxi services that were out for 1 to 2 hours…they were all out! Partly because it was merdeka’s eve and in a few hours Malaysians everywhere would be celebrating our nation’ 50th birthday.

Gave men in g-strings a miss.. just too tired, cranky, sleepy…instead we headed out to our usual local where it was jam-packed, anyway. Tomorrow is the band’s last night, and a previous band returns. Will be sad to see them go *sniff* Friend was the only one to bring out Malaysia’s flag….and friend is Singaporean!!!!!!

Speaking of Singapore, Had been there for a few days and The night before flight had been at another event so, basically travelled to the island nation on a sleep deficit.

Over there, had a posh dinner while being entertained by Singapore talents Corrine Mae and some rocker chick whose name I forget. Even re-met an ex MTV VJ whom we’d met the year before at industry rival’s event, Max (from Melaka!!! but now Switzerland) hosted us with some other chick whose name I forget ALSO.

Was a little sad to find out that he’s left MTV and is kinda full-time in Switzerland with another job. However glad cos the MTV scene is not quite for him even though yes, he’s helluva fun, funny and genuinely congenial; he’s destined for greater things.
