For de love of Boo…

November 26, 2005

The day before had watched Harry Potter and confessed to Boo’s dadda that Harry reminded me of Boo..

“Harry f***ing Potter is a boy who looks like a geek with glasses, how does he look like my little girl???” dadda imploded indignantly.

I listed everything out.
“Messy hair. Big big eyes. Boo’s boy crop… quit trimming her hair. SILLY.”

Too late…Boo’s already scheduled for another trim (only the second since her debut into this world).

dewy

ALSO

…have seen Boo’s latest scarecrow look courtesy of Boo’s dadda… just imagine hair mussed up, dewy-eyed toddler, just awoken from sleep and still disoriented…the first thing she calls is “Dadda daddadadadaa…” and when he appears, her first smile of the day is for dadda..
Heck, she even stands and give him a right-handed “salute”!!!

“It’s like your her favouritest toy! All momma is, is someone she relies on for food and cuddles…its not fair!” said I.

“Life is not fair,” said dadda, “Get used to it.” And then he further adds, “At least you have drinking water.”

Pffft.

Picasa sorted?

At last!!! Some pics from trip to Down Under…

park
We all were put up at Sheraton on the Park..this is the view from my room on the 16th floor.. i believe this is called Hyde Park…

destination
The reason we were all there….

4 walls
At Holdern Pavillion, which I later found out was a film studio. We were surrounded by 4 canvasses, upon which moving images were projected…. twas pretty awesome..not to mention I couldnt stop snapping pics.

beach On the second day, we were driven to Bather's Pavillion which was at Balmoral Beach... stepped in and out the other side to have a fantastic view of the beach, aaaaannnnnnddddddd.....dudes playing football. Sydneysiders like the rest of Oz were gripped by World Cup fever, I guess... Oz had qualified just the nite before..

urpo
The big guy in APAC - Urpo Karjalainen

glass view
The evening before, we were taken to dinner at Sydney Cafe at the Custom’s House. The floor was transparent offering a clear view of a scaled model of Sydney..

sydney
..i wasnt the only one taking pics :)

thinktank
This was part of a Yahoo! Think Tank project which ended on that very day we were day.

sydney1
Aerial view of the whole project…

l\'amour
Howdy doody! Dude and 2 of the L’amour Collection..

mobile TV
Imagine DVB-H antennas integrated into your phones… whaddaya get? Mobile TV.

Nokia Web Browser
One of the more interesting technologies also launched in Sydney…. along with a revamping of the Series 60 image, there was a new Browser introduced. Rendering speeds were astonishing… user interface and user-intuitiveness was remniscent of another consumer electronics brand with the same.

PAUL-MOSSED!!!

November 24, 2005

Paul Moss infamous Msian Idol judge - difficult to please, easy for him to show it.
When O2 launched their O2 Atom, greedy journos grabbed the chance to try and win it… it was easy…all that was involved was just making the best mocktails, yah?
Well, not if it also means Mossy is also judging!!!
Eyes of friends who heard the news, misted over… much like what happens when a bloke sees another bloke taking a wham to da nuts.
~o~w~c~h~

I shouldave known there was a nasty surprise in store.

CDs
Caught this pic on my first nite in Sydney, whilst scouting around for a place to eat. $10 per CD is cheap? These people havent been to Petaling Street, KL yet….or maybe they get their supplies from there…

Too lazy to experiment further with Picasa… its nice to be able to view my pics from a single place..but whats the use if they keep making new folders everytime i resize a pic? Or maybe im just imagining things? Havent thoroughly explored yet.

Caught the latest Harry Potter movie at last! It IS getting better all the time though hard to believe they are only 14 in the movie. Ive read Harry Potter books… not sure if i missed reading this particular goblet of fire one, though. Voldemort is fully ressurected at last!!! I wonder if the next movie will be nicer than this one.

Travelled.

November 21, 2005

Had a nice 3-day trip to Down Under last week.
Didnt have opportunity to visit their pubs but DID take lots of pics… have had to download Picasa for this.

Sydney is a lovely place with loads of old old buildings that are a joy to photograph. There also seem to be quite a few clock towers in the area near where we stayed.

Went on the world-famous BridgeClimb of the Sydney Bridge. It was a pretty strenuous and arduous process… they took the time to be sure we were prepared and suited up with all the necessary gear and so on.

And of course, we had a Climb Leader. Ours was a red-haired bloke by the name of Barry Hammond; his face is as red as his hair from all the sunburns he probably gets going on climbs. Best of all, he is as mad as the mad hatter and very knowledgeable, with sharp hawklike eyes and the same sense of humour to boot - be sure you dont let him spot you goofing off.

If you’d always wanted to be an astronaut cos you think the uniform is cool, but cant cos you have crappy eyesight or something, do the next best thing - go on a BridgeClimb. (www.bridgeclimb.com)

Too lazy to upload pics rite now… lets see how my mood goes this week… :P

Boo’s eyes

November 20, 2005

eyes

Boo’s eyes are the most lovely blue… I really miss her… especially when Im down and out..looking at a baby like Boo makes me feel like all is right with the world once more…

Some time before the next workshop..

November 17, 2005

Attended a smashing event just now…wondered why we were brought to a seemingly dinghy building called Holdern Pavillion… ah, wait! Tis cos twas excellent venue for special effects… *my images are being a bitch, i cant resize them for some reason*

In my room now, watching some travel program on tv… Malaysia is featured quite a lot on spg TV… i cant believe it… some people are at Heritage Row and calling it the most happening place in KL?

Also, had a lot of encounters with people in the service industry… cant help wondering if in Australia they tend to hire gays or somewhat effeminate metrosexuals?

The day Oz public transport blared and honked…

November 16, 2005

Having a nice leisurely walk after dinner back to Sheraton on the Park when heard loud loud whoops and cheers… Australia vs Uruguay..guess who won???

That was about an hour ago, and now the traffic in Sydney has gone bonkers.. they are all blaring their horns and whatnot to celebrate… the only display in Msia that is this close to this kind patriotism, involves mat motors or hooligans on motorbikes waving flags while going at high speed on the roads…

Trilogies & my family…

November 13, 2005

There’s something about my family and trilogies… Raiders of the Lost Ark, The Matrix, Lord of the Rings… if its a trilogy.. we would religiously follow and watch..as well as collect…..(Extended DVDs galore, maaaaaaannn!!!)
Star Wars is one of them… well, technically it isnt a trilogy.. more like two trilogies actually starting from Episode 4 all the way to Episode 6, and then about 2 decades later, Episode 1 to 3.
Batman has also begun to do this with the latest addition to the series..the back to origins “Batman Begins”.

The trilogy i enjoyed the most was LOTR though, except for the scenes between Sam and Frodo.

Yeck… Padme just kissed Anakin… ewwww.
Padme and Anakin, Queen Amidala and Anakin Skywalker aka Darth Vader… hot, mature chick and young bratty, obnoxious know-it-all.

Nobody makes cakes like that anymore…

November 11, 2005

athea\'s cake

This cake was made for Boo’s first birthday by her doting grandma… see the single candle in front of the big teddy? awwww
And the effects for the fur….. and the wordings that say HAPPY BIRTHDAY….!
Nobody takes the trouble to make elaborate cakes like that anymore… wat care and love..!!!
