All things Korean

November 6, 2005

There are few things in life that really matter to my sister:
Korean dramas is one of them.

It may have started since she came back from biz trips to Korea or maybe even before…. she and her work colleagues started circulating Korean drama serials to watch at home…. all sorts have passed our DVD player and 15-inch TV.
The current one is another tear-jerker (arent they all???) about how blind girl is separated from beau and led to believe that he is dead. Well, blind girl eventually has eyesight restoring operation and a new beau who is old beau’s good friend.

AI YAI YAI. Indeed.

But always a good premise for lots of melodramatic music, heart-wrenching displays of emotion, moments of dawning revelation (where you can almost hear the !!! going off in their brains) and lots of tears, tears, tEaRs.

A funny sight - sis hungry, in front of the television but totally engrossed and clasping a packet of Korean noodles.

Saturday nite: Zeta Bar da snooty bar

… we sneaked in before 9pm to avoid their exorbitant cover charge, and by 8 plus we were having our beers and such. Hadnt had dinner so opted for some snacks - TAPAS BOX.

This was mostly made up of a loooot of fish ingredients; there was even some otak-otak tasting thingy with lots of hair. And what that looked like their century egg was pleasantly sweet.

tapas too

Don’t expect a full wholesome meal for RM35, but pleasant and small surprises.

We wouldnt have expected it, but by 10pm, Nat was in love with the place and declaring it hoe-free, vomit-free and sleazy people-free.

It was a happening enough place to even meet a nice visitor from Suisse. Other than that, we were having beers, long island teas, looking at the surroundings and enjoying “house” and/or lounge music.
