Enough of big-assed scary pictures, yet?
Im writing this frm a Fujitsu Lifebook which is so teeny that its not funny.
This tablet PC could be said to be the smallest and lightest of the up and coming “convertible notebooks” segment… cant help thinking its some kind of glorified PDA…. dont get me wrong… the form factor is a space saver compared to the two widescreen monsters I had before this… but this little gadget is not the best to use if you want to do intensive data entering.

~The Scary pictures~
…or really…. horror movies…
There was a time i had the choice of watching:-
The Maid, Red Eye, Dark Water (notice how horror movies titles almost always consist of two-word phrases nowerdays? Gone are the good ol’ days of “Texas Chainsaw Massacre” or Nightmare on Elm Street”?)
Well, i picked to watch The Maid which was a very very VERY bad choice as it was filmed in Singapore, based on Chinese beliefs and culture, set in contemporary Singapore times. Singapore was my destination for work just two days later. I stayed up the whole nite that I was there and ended up bleary eyed the next day.
Later, I watched Red Eye as I heard a rumour it was horror horror and not supernatural horror… ever since then, Ive just been waiting for a chance to watch Dark Water….
Up coming horror movies Im keeping my eye out for (who knows)-
Why my paranoia? It all started with the Korean supernatural and psychological horor A Tale of Two Sisters…
-
No, there was no blood and gore.. or nasty things jumping out of the cupboard etc… just one or two supernatural occurences and the powerful suggestion that the main character’s state of mind could have been avoided had it not been for her pride. The niggling doubts and what-ifs played a crucial role in letting my mind be haunted over and over again by the movie even though it has been nearly 2 years since I saw it.
More than anything… the movie was brillliantly done (hence the awards it won) - poignant (helped by a powerful soundtrack, cinematography and settings), very touching, very human, very beautiful and very, very sad.
I cant recommend it enough… http://www.mandiapple.com/snowblood/ataleoftwosisters.htm
