At last..
… fren had been gushing about the gay serial “Queer as Folk” and at last I managed to watch episodes 1-3.
Queer as Folk…what can I say? Its honest, talks and deals about topics that a hetero mind could not possibly fathom unless they’ve seen it/experienced it. The dialogue is fast and witty… main character Brian is to die for (even though his butt is less than perfect) but watta vroom vrooom VROOOOOOM!!!!
But it is also set in a world where hot bods are everywhere and people talk about doing sex as though they are talking about doing their laundry.
“I separate my clothes first- coloured and non-coloured…. then put my clothes into the machine. I also added soap powder… mind you, I use the non-bleach kind.”
Trudged out last nite, even though had not planned to. Had yee sang before that and by 12am, friend wanted to energize by having a nite on the town. And so we did….. and by a strange twist of fate, we discovered that there really IS a russian community in KL.
They are amazingly polite and well-mannered… gregarious. Anytime soon, I might be referring to someone as Comrade. A new bunch of friends to party with…. wheee…The small ones are extra sweet and darling-esque.
“I have a girlfriend… she’s chinese you know… maybe you can help me?”
The guy was in as much pain as his alcohol-soaked self let him be… which was still quite a lot of pain. He wanted to know..
“Can you tell me why she has changed? She’s not the same anymore…last year she is something… this year she is something else..”
