Time capsule… hop on!!
Saw this news release today:
Today, Yahoo! is offering you and I special space to store something that we would like to keep for the next 25 years, then see it again, in the year 2020. Here’s a gist of the attached release:
What:
· On October 10th, Yahoo! opened what will be one of the world’s largest time capsules for multimedia submissions from around the globe.
When:
· Once archived, selected submissions will be chosen for a projection onto The Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan, Mexico, which will be beamed into space and web cast during a special celebration October 25-27, 2006.
Where:
· Submissions for the time capsule can also be uploaded directly at timecapsule.yahoo.com, a unique interactive microsite available in ten languages.
How:
· Yahoo! users around the world can upload as many images, text files, videos, audios or drawings as they would like to the time capsule Web site at timecapsule.yahoo.com, created by renowned Internet artist Jonathan Harris.
