My First real weekend?

November 4, 2006

I dont know…what do people do on weekends, anyway?

Go on picnics? Get into their MPVs for groceries shopping? Spend the whole day at the recreational park with families and friends? Go on excursions with church members? Bake a cake? Cook a dish? Break a leg?

If the weekend is supposed to be quality “Me” time, I aint getting enough of it.

My off days from Monday to Wednesday were even cut short. Tried to do the couch potato thing at home, as i live in a godforsaken place and cant get up and go to wherever, whenever I wish. Didnt work. Fidgeted some and by Wednesday, I was in the office again.

For the first time in quite some time, Im not crashing in Bangsar for the weekend and am at home. Can smell lunch wafting upstairs from the kitchen and dad is on the CNN channel again. This is a good time to detoxify and I cant wait to see how much work I get done today.

BUT WAIT! Its the weekend dammit!

There is a VMCC event at MidValley today till Tuesday and spent some time yesterday to witness the proceedings, grab pics and comments; even had a nice chat with someone who resells tmnet’s services. Then walked into the DiGi centre to pay my bills, and bumped into two nice ladies from a local PR company who belanja-ed KFC… niiiiiiice.

Grabbed more pics at the service center adn learnt abt DiGi’s cool new value-added service where I can check my bill amount (and MORE) via SMS.
There was even a brand new supplementary line promotion where they are trying to increase usage of voice calls to above RM75.

Where have I been all this time???????? Im utterly impressed with DiGi. Despite being overlooked when it came to 3G spectrum awards, they managed to stick in there and make the best of things. And, even have a brand new headquarters in Shah Alam since 2 months ago.

I only wonder how long they’ll be able to keep this up.
