I marvel constantly (when i remember to) at how Lindsay Lohan went from precocious child to grown-up siren. It makes we wonder what the fates have in store for already semi-adult Dakota Fanning. Ah well, in a few years.
Reading (when i have time to and remember to) Lohan’s escapades she seems a far removal from her role in movie, “Mean Girls”. But then she has acted in other movies like Freaky Friday and Confessions of a teenage drama queen.

For Mean Girls, I especially remembered the scene where she has to go up against a quiz rival. Initially raised to be level-headed and sensible before turning into a shallow and prissy Plastic, this was the scene where she finally redefines herself.

Ive been replaying the scene over and over ever since i saw it early last year. It was apt of a situation, i thought.

If something needs to be solved, go up to it and BE where you can make a difference. Being somewhere else when your heart isnt, will show, especially when people cannot rely on you, have to take up your slack and have you flaunt it in front of their faces.

Of this, I am filled with 101-percent conviction, have been for the longest time and am telling it straight (again) to whoever needs to know.

… sneezed non-stop all of yesterday… must have been a total of over a million already. Fever gone down and stopped sneezing now, at least.
Day before had hung out with friend and funnily enough, the whole of the night we were just overcome by this very overpowering feeling of immense ZZZs. Tried to snap out of it with head rotations, sitting up straight for better oxygen flow and etc. Didnt help.
All it did was get a bunch of after work alcoholics over to our spot.

Its the weekend…… outing plans abound… but i feel extraordinarily tired.

Watched her rap video again… gosh she’s awesome. I realised she was marking the distance of her swings against the wooden beams. As soon as she tot she was losing her swing-iness, she faltered her rap and even tried to push it herself.

God…… wat a baby.

…read some pretty interesting news in the papers today.
Virgin, AirAsia and EasyJet might be alliancing to form the world’s first budget collaboration.
Fares could be as low as RM100 to China.. if that’s supposed to be anything like how AirAsia thinks RM100 plus air fares/air travel costs can be advertised as RM9.90, well… we certainly have an idea what RM100 realllllly means.

The implications are enormous.

On one hand it might mean my existing sponsored trips to wherever might now involve less frills, less luxury and less-hot stewardesses. It can also mean increase in such trips and or/distance. However, can you imagine 20 hours in less than economy class conditions?

Hmmm…

In some good news… received a very very pleasant surprise from dadda.

Boo has a new swing in the backyard as Xmas pressie… she loves it even as she hangs on for dear life.

Got a superb 21 sec video of her on it, kicking her heels to go higher and higher…all while she is singing her little lungs out…Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.
Great rhythm… i even think she timed her lyrics according to the swings.

I also think she is actually rapping it, cos managed to catch her very clear Brit accent in… “like a… diaaaay-moond… in d……. skyyyyyy.”

Yep. Technically a rap.

Its the new year. Couldnt lift myself off the chair to prepare for niteout even though an old schoolmate who lives nearby offered to collect and send me back. Got tired of waiting for a 7MB download to finish and dozed off.
Woke up a little at 12 am when my other sis visited from Serdang and scratched my ears… “Wake up Cathy…wake up…we going yum cha… wanna come?” *scratch scratch scratch*

Past two days have been parking myself in front of idjut box with work lappy for hours on end. Developed a stiff back and knotted neck… also Discovered, that I actually get work done - mixture of researching, writing/jotting/scribbling and reading mags that a colleague skivved off an event. Some good stuff in there. Especially this one mobile entertainment mag by Questex (Computerworld HK) called Charged that comes out once every two months. (www.charged.mobi). Seen before names…

The publisher knows heckuva lotta relevant industry people and is really able to tap into their passion and knowledge and expertise about the industry … reading the mag was like discovering revelation after revelation.

If only………

Family had gone Ikea yesterday… so now they are all gathered around the bottom of stairs… trying to assemble who knows what…..looks like a steel preparation table. Or maybe its a stove…. i dont know.
Waited hours and hours for a 7MB download via wireless yesterday… may just scoot hop upstairs for today… just to see the new shelves… see how it goes.

Just read a friends update that its snowing in Beijing… who wouldave thought… just few months ago.. weather barely warranted a scarf… the air then was thick with dust…… would it be crystal clear and fresh now?

Update at 2.11pm.
Discovered theres a dwinx session in bsar at friend’s house. That’s where Elvis the spotted dog is at. Presley here got stolen…

Think i have to give it a pass…… tho am wondering if they can shed some light abt the funny number missed calls i got last nite.

The aromatic odours of pan mee beckon……the shelves and roti canai table are shaping up nicely… laaaaaaters…
